My first role at ESPN was writing alerts that were sent out directly to subscribers' phone and tablet lock screens. ESPN fans can sign up for alerts for their favorite team, sport or breaking news and these lists vary in size from a few hundred subscribers to over 28 million.

Any news happening in the sports world, I wrote an alert on it. Whether it was a highlight dunk, a record-breaking home run or coach hirings & firings, I covered it all. It was up to me to write and edit the text, attach a story or video, find an image to accompany the text and choose how many subscribers lists to add all as quickly as possible so we could get the news out in timely fashion.

Being the lead night editor for the 3+ years, I was at the reigns for the biggest sports events . Coverage of Super Bowls, NBA Finals, World Series and more fell on my shoulders.

Check out the rest of the slides on the main page for more of my work at ESPN.
